This role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of underground mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Achieve production targets through effective blasting services, ensuring targeted ore in the desired form for bogging with safety and efficiency as priorities
- Maintain equipment in good working order through correct auditing and housekeeping practices
- Contribute to preventative maintenance by performing scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and organizing timely repairs of operating equipment
- Support efficient operation of underground mining systems and processes by providing reliable and accurate operational knowledge to minimize downtime
- Demonstrated experience in underground operations
- Experience with emulsion blasting techniques is preferred
- Proven record of safe underground mining practices
- Certification in Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights is required
- Vocationally relevant licenses, including drivers' license and Shot firer's license, are essential
This position demands a strong commitment to safety culture and performance. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth understanding of explosives and blasting techniques, enabling them to work effectively in fast-paced underground environments.
