About the Underground Operator Role

The Underground Operator Position

We are seeking experienced underground operators to fill key roles at our Maxwell Underground Mine. As an underground operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of mining equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate continuous miners, roof bolters, shuttle cars, and load-haul-dump machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations and report any incidents or irregularities.
  • Monitor and manage the mining process to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in underground longwall coal mining.
  • Current competency in the operation of plant or equipment in underground coal mining.
  • A strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in coal mining.
