About the Role

As a key member of the Student Engagement Unit at the University of South Australia, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic advice on the implementation and delivery of consistent student support services. You will lead and support a team of Student Advisers (International) to work with all students across all campuses in a complex, cross-cultural environment and enable positive outcomes.

About the Student Engagement Unit

The Student Engagement Unit is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of student-facing services that enhance the on-campus and off-campus student experience for all students. The unit also takes strategic steps to inform the quality of the student experience of learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice on the implementation and delivery of consistent student support services.
  • Lead and support a team of Student Advisers (International) to work with all students across all campuses.
  • Work with key stakeholders to aim for continuous improvement by planning, developing, implementing, promoting, and evaluating projects, programs, measuring student support services efficiencies and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills including the provision of advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriate, research-based, best practice pedagogy for the development, evaluation, and improvement of university-level programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated skills in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and legislative principles in response to the changing environment.
  • Highly developed organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
