About the Role

As a key member of the Student Engagement Unit, you will provide strategic guidance on the implementation and delivery of student support services, leading a team of Student Advisers (International) to work with students across all campuses in a complex, cross-cultural environment. Your focus will be on enabling positive outcomes, working with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, and developing recommendations to deliver an exceptional student experience.

About the Student Engagement Unit

The Student Engagement Unit is responsible for developing and delivering student-facing services that enhance the on-campus and off-campus student experience. We take a strategic approach to informing the quality of the student experience, focusing on learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills, with the ability to provide advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply research-based best practice pedagogy for program development, evaluation, and improvement.
  • Demonstrated skills in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and legislative principles in response to changing environments.
  • Highly developed organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
  • An excellent understanding of issues relating to international students in higher education settings, with a demonstrated commitment to staying up-to-date with changes in legislation or best practice.
