About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Relations Specialist to join our team at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO). As an Industrial Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting a harmonious work environment and ensuring compliance with labour laws and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations Management: Provide expert advice to staff and stakeholders on employment-related matters, including the interpretation of the Enterprise Agreement and relevant legislation.
  • Conflict Resolution: Work closely with employee representatives to resolve workplace disputes and ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with HR teams and senior management to develop and implement effective employee engagement strategies and policies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor organisational change processes and provide advice to managers and employees to mitigate the risk of disputation and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
  • Investigations and Reporting: Conduct investigations into employee complaints and provide reports to management.
Requirements
  • Strong Knowledge of Employment Law: Excellent understanding of Australian employment frameworks and legislation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex information to staff and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
