About the Role

The Director of Ambulatory Services is a senior leadership position within the Division of Ambulatory Services, responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to a multidisciplinary team delivering services within the hospital and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient flow and demand management initiatives to improve timely and appropriate patient access
  • Promote and facilitate accountability for quality and safety systems, effective clinical audits, and achievement of identified safety and quality KPIs
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a continuous improvement environment
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and actions to ensure budgetary targets and KPIs are met
Requirements
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport, negotiate, and maintain effective relations with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a senior manager with proven ability to develop and meet strategic, operational, and budgetary objectives
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, cultural, and organizational change within tertiary or quaternary hospital settings
  • Strong business and financial acumen with solid budget management and funding experience
