Portfolio Director

**About the Role**
The University of Melbourne is seeking an experienced Portfolio Lead to support the smooth operation and strategic alignment of projects within one of the Workplace Relations and Integrity, Employment Compliance Directorate, and Organisational Development teams. This role involves overseeing project workflows, resource management, and quality assurance, ensuring efficient execution of portfolio activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and open communication to achieve portfolio objectives. They will excel in managing multiple projects with accuracy and quality, possess excellent problem-solving skills to address complex challenges, and demonstrate a proactive approach with discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the project management lifecycle for the portfolio, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables in line with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the CPO Portfolio Manager to ensure alignment with CPO priorities, sharing resources and insights for integrated project delivery.
- Implement reporting mechanisms and evaluate workflow improvements to enhance project tracking, delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
- Manage COE's programme of work, including operational support, stakeholder communications, and coordination of post-project evaluations to confirm strategic goals are met.
**Requirements:**
- SIGNIFICANT relevant experience or an equivalent mix of experience, education, and training.
- Strong operational management skills, including expertise in resource allocation and quality assurance.
- Proven experience in coordinating projects to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including generous leave provisions, salary packaging, health and wellbeing services, and discounts on graduate courses.
