
Procurement Strategic Lead

About the Opportunity
This newly created role will oversee customer and corporate expenditure across the business whilst ensuring streamlined processes and compliance with relevant legislation, funding deed expectations, policies and procedures. This role will help improve strategic purchasing initiatives relating to Indigenous-owned entities, environmental sustainability and supporting local jobs growth.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in working across procurement, business improvement, reporting, procedural and analytical functions;
- Experience in managing the delivery of strategic purchasing objectives;
- Ability to understand, negotiate and review complex contractual arrangements;
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to promote business improvement;
- Ability to undertake complex and high-cost procurements, review of vendors and risk assessments;
- Sound written communication skills and attention to detail;
- Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques;
- Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions;
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft suite.
You will be required to:
- Hold minimum Bachelor qualifications in Accounting, Business or similar discipline;
- Hold a current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate where required.
