Job Overview

A building automation specialist with expertise in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting systems that control and monitor building functions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, energy management and system integration.

This role requires leadership skills to direct and guide teams working on HVAC projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance to the HVAC crew by leading and directing their work.
  • Execute mechanical services related to HVAC systems ensuring high-quality work within cost constraints.
  • Manage and direct activities of HVAC mechanics who install service and repair environmental-control systems.
  • Apply knowledge of refrigeration theory pipefitting and structural layout to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Evaluate service execution for compliance with contracts design data schedules quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Maintain updated short-range look-ahead plans discuss deviations with the project lead and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Review and monitor costs and man-hour budgets for installation processes.
  • Develop detailed equipment and tool requirement plans reviewing and adjusting them in consultation with the project lead.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with the project team and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards minimizing risks and ensuring the safety of all team members.
Requirements:
  • Must be a US or Australian citizen.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience managing similar projects of size scope and complexity.
  • Must possess an OEM certification in building automation systems or a similar certification.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
  • Ability to maximize technical performance and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Clearance:

Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph.
