Senior Community Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable professional to join our community safety team in Alice Springs. As a key member, you will provide leadership and guidance on all matters related to community safety.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance on community safety initiatives, developing and implementing effective strategies to improve community safety outcomes, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and community groups, collaborating with other teams to achieve common goals, and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of community safety programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance on community safety initiatives
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve community safety outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community groups
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve common goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community safety programs

Requirements:

  • Degree in Community Development or relevant field
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment
  • Current NT Manual Drivers' Licence
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory completion of NT Working with Children's Check (Ochre) card and Criminal History Check
