Workshop Controller Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our team at Peter Warren Automotive Holdings. As a key member of our Service team, you will be responsible for managing daily tasks, overseeing technician productivity, and prioritizing repair orders for timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily tasks for a team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Oversee technician productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prioritize repair orders for timely completion, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving, collaborating with technicians and service advisors.
  • Suggest additional work to the Service Advisor team for customer notification, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Ensure repair orders are completed correctly for warranty procedures, seeking clarification when needed.
  • Lead qualified technicians and apprentices to optimize service delivery, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer benchmarks, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in setting and achieving service sales and profit objectives, contributing to the company's growth and success.
  • Control workshop activity to maximize profitability, making informed decisions to drive business results.

Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience and trade qualifications, with a strong background in automotive service management.
  • Previous Workshop Controller experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Current driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Team management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • MVTC essential, with a strong understanding of automotive service procedures.
  • Air-Conditioning License and ASCIS & AUVIS License preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technicians, service advisors, and customers.
  • Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
