Workshop Controller Opportunity

At Peter Warren Automotive Holdings, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our team in Warwick Farm. As a key member of our Service team, you will be responsible for managing daily tasks, overseeing technician productivity, and prioritizing repair orders for timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily tasks for a team of technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Oversee technician productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Prioritize repair orders for timely completion, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving, providing guidance and support to technicians as needed.
  • Suggest additional work to the Service Advisor team for customer notification, ensuring seamless communication and customer engagement.
  • Ensure repair orders are completed correctly for warranty procedures, seeking clarification when needed to maintain high standards.
  • Lead qualified technicians and apprentices to optimize service delivery, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer benchmarks, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.
  • Assist in setting and achieving service sales and profit objectives, contributing to the growth and success of the business.
  • Control workshop activity to maximize profitability, making data-driven decisions to drive business results.

Requirements:

  • Relevant work experience and trade qualifications, with a strong background in automotive service management.
  • Previous Workshop Controller experience is preferred but not essential, as we are open to candidates with transferable skills and experience.
  • Current driver's license, with a strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices.
  • Excellent Time Management Skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Management Experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results.
  • MVTC essential, with a strong understanding of automotive technology and systems.
  • Air-Conditioning License is preferred but not essential, as we are open to candidates with transferable skills and experience.
  • ASCIS & AUVIS License is preferred but not essential, as we are open to candidates with transferable skills and experience.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Demonstrates care and attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technicians, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Works well within large teams and follows processes/instructions, with a strong commitment to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering results.
