Job Title: Program Director - Healthcare Excellence

Bendigo Health is seeking a skilled professional to lead an initiative focused on enhancing patient safety and clinical care by evaluating existing screening, assessment, and planning tools.

The program aims to identify opportunities to reduce hospital-acquired complications (HACs) and improve compliance with the National Safety and Quality in Health Service (NSQHS) Comprehensive Care Standard.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned healthcare professional to join our team as a Program Director. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting this initiative and working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate existing screening, assessment, and planning tools used at Bendigo Health to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Lead the development of strategies to reduce hospital-acquired complications (HACs) and improve compliance with the NSQHS Comprehensive Care Standard.
  3. Collaborate with consumers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to advance continuous improvement and implement changes to improve patient outcomes and efficiency of the business.
  4. Provide high-quality clinical governance support and advice to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership or project management role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of quality and compliance principles, including the NSQHS Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
