Regional Expert in Tailings and Mine Waste Engineering

This is a rare opportunity to join our team as a Regional Expert in Tailings and Mine Waste Engineering. We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in tailings engineering, leadership skills, and the ability to manage large multidisciplinary projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead our team of tailings and mine waste engineers across Asia-Pacific, providing technical guidance, strategy, and innovation to drive business growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing teams of consultants, delivering geotechnical site investigations, and interpreting field and laboratory testing results.
  • Influencing regional business strategy, developing high-quality technical outputs, and ensuring reports meet client expectations.
  • Developing relationships between internal and external clients, contributing to winning work, and providing advice on best practices.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in tailings engineering, with tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical / Civil / Mining Engineering.
  • Proven experience managing teams, delivering projects, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Demonstrated expertise in local and global tailings standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to travel interstate.
