Senior Engineering Leadership Position

This pivotal role requires an accomplished professional with expertise in tailings and mine waste engineering to lead activities, drive project excellence, client satisfaction, and sustainable business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow and strengthen the team through strategic recruitment and development of high-performing national practices.
  • Inspire and guide regional team leaders and senior professionals across multiple states, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Manage group financial performance through resource management with the engineering design administration team, team leaders, and other technical discipline managers within the service line.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality technical outputs, ensuring reports and deliverables meet standards and client expectations, on time and within budgets.
  • Develop, facilitate, and enhance relationships between internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to winning work by identifying and converting opportunities and drawing on existing client relationships.
  • Provide advice and assistance to internal and external clients, team members, and project managers on projects regarding best principles and practices.
  • Lead and manage own projects, applying deep technical knowledge and project management capability to deliver meaningful outcomes.

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of specialisation in tailings engineering in a consulting role, experience managing teams of consultants across different geographies, and project experience across multiple states. Excellent communication skills and technical report writing are essential, along with demonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
