Job Overview

This role is part of a state department seeking a skilled project coordinator to support their delivery teams in ensuring projects and programs are scheduled effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Use contemporary scheduling systems (e.g., Microsoft Project Professional, Project Web App) to develop, review, and administer schedules for multiple government projects and programs.
  • Build and maintain detailed schedules for current and future pipeline projects, ensuring they align with time and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain program dashboards that track project status, construction progress, and resource utilization.
  • Work closely with delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure a consistent scheduling approach and accurate project execution/reporting.
  • Identify and resolve resourcing issues, escalating where necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project or program scheduling, ideally in construction or infrastructure delivery environments.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project Professional, Project Web App (or equivalent), and data processing/manipulation.
  • Strong ability to interpret detailed project documentation and complex information from multiple sources.
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and management methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely outcomes.

This is an entry-level contract position with a competitive salary range of A$150,000 - A$180,000.
