Project Manager Role

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at a reputable and fast-growing civil contractor. Our client has a solid footprint across Brisbane.

The Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of urban subdivision projects. You will lead a team of engineers and supervisors while liaising with clients, councils, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Lead strategic project planning, resourcing, and delivery of urban subdivision works
  • Develop and track project programs, budgets, and forecasts
  • Oversee risk management, design coordination, and client communication
  • Mentor and lead site-based teams and junior engineers
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and local authorities
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, performance, and claims
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are met across all sites

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience managing civil projects—urban subdivisions or land development
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving capability
  • Sound knowledge of earthworks, services installation, roadworks, and infrastructure delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with local authority processes and compliance standards
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding
