About the Role
  • As a key member of the People and Culture service area, you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on Work Health and Safety (WHS) matters to our schools and offices.
  • You will develop tools and resources to assist Principals and CEO Leaders with their WHS duties under the legislation.
  • Your role involves keeping up-to-date with current and emerging WHS issues impacting the education sector.
  • You will analyze WHS data, provide regular reports to School and Office Leadership, and undertake site audits to verify compliance with WHS policies and processes.
  • In addition, you will complete internal investigations into serious/significant work health and safety incidents, identify gaps, and areas for improvement.
About You
  • We are looking for someone with experience in undertaking health and safety audits across multiple sites, verifying compliance with organization expectations and legislative requirements.
  • You should have strong interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence, discretion, and judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • A strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, develop WHS policies, procedures, and other support resources is essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety, human resources, or related disciplines are preferred, along with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of health and safety, allied health discipline, or human resources.
