About the Opportunity

This permanent part-time position at 0.5FTE (2.5 days per week) is available within the School of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Key Responsibilities
  • To contribute to teaching, research, governance, and community engagement in the Occupational Health and Safety program
  • To develop innovative and world-class research and teaching programs through collaborative projects with academic colleagues, community, and industry partners
  • To design and implement curricula that meet TEQSA and professional accreditation standards
  • To establish productive collaborative arrangements across the university with academic colleagues and research institutes
About You

We are seeking a highly qualified professional with a doctoral qualification (or significant progress towards one) in Occupational Health and Safety and certification as an Occupational Hygienist (COH).

The successful candidate will have a proven record of delivering innovative, high-quality teaching in tertiary or professional education environments, with demonstrated success in course design and implementation.

You will possess expertise in occupational hygiene and health and safety, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues, government, industry, and community stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Doctoral qualification (or significant progress towards one) in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Certification as an Occupational Hygienist (COH)
  • Proven record of delivering innovative, high-quality teaching in tertiary or professional education environments
  • Demonstrated success in course design and implementation
Salary and Benefits

The base salary for this position is $114,572 - $132,315 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation.
