Payroll Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a skilled payroll specialist. We are seeking a professional with experience in managing end-to-end payroll processes using ELMO (Keypay) software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while providing exceptional support and customer service to leaders and employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Payrolls: Process fortnightly and monthly payrolls, including off-cycle payments as required.
  • Manage Payroll Inbox: Monitor and manage the payroll inbox, responding to all payroll-related queries.
  • Support Audits: Support payroll audits as requested.
  • Pre-Payroll Authorizations: Follow up on all necessary pre-payroll authorizations, such as leave requests, approved timesheets, pay adjustments, and employee allowances.
  • Compile Reports: Compile and maintain payroll reports.
Requirements:
  • ELMO Experience: Experience using ELMO (Keypay platform) payroll system.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and level of accuracy while processing payroll.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of current payroll practices, including but not limited to roster management, leave accruals and TOIL accruals.
  • Fair Work Act: Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards, ensuring that you remain up to date of employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Mining Industry: Previous experience working within the mining/resources industry will be highly regarded.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
