Mine Site Construction Services are one of Western Australia's leading civil and mining construction companies. We are proud of our reputation for safely delivering exciting projects across Western Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our busy and growing finance team in this newly created position. The position will work cohesively with our finance team to efficiently and accurately execute the payroll function and support the daily accounting functions.

**The position**:

- Completion of end-to-end weekly payroll processing
- Execution of end of year processing and reconciliation
- Ensuring payroll transactions are processed efficiently
- Ensuring data is up to date and accurate within the Payroll System
- Preparation of various payroll reports
- Employment Lifecycle management activities within the scope of the role
- Point of contact for payroll related queries
- Preparation of Superannuation and Payroll Tax lodgements; and
- Support the finance team with non-payroll related accounting functions.

**Skills, experience**

We are seeking an energetic, high performing payroll officer, with an eye for detail who is seeking to broaden their skills across the financial function.
- High level of payroll processing proficiency and attention to detail
- Familiarisation with contemporary payroll systems
- Experienced processing payroll for workforce with multiple employment arrangements, awards, rosters and sites
- Sound understanding of Payroll Legislation including tax and superannuation.
- Familiarisation and experience with interpreting Modern Awards
- Basic accounting/bookkeeping support experience, or willingness to learn
- Ability to work cohesively within a team and autonomously
- Strong ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a busy work environment,
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Customer focus; and
- Continuous improvement outlook.
