Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly technical Senior Accountant/Manager to join our forward-thinking Firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the directors in developing and nurturing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing timely and accurate information.
  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of client jobs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Assist in preparing special purpose financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT returns, and other reports and analyses for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and tax legislation.
  • Train junior accountants, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Personable – enjoys developing and nurturing client relationships, reviewing work, and assisting/training less experienced team members.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with a strong customer service orientation.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce/business or accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and currently in a client-facing/interacting role in a public practice accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero Tax, Xero, Quickbooks, MYOB, BGL Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Thinks outside the box.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously, including meeting deadlines.

  • $100,000 – $130,000 + Super (depending on experience)
  • Receive a percentage of annual fees if you bring in quality small business, private family groups, and high net worth individual clients.
