Job Title: Venue Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Venue Operations Manager is a key role within the hotel, responsible for overseeing all aspects of venue operations. This includes team management, guest service, financial performance, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of venue staff, including venue coordinators, event coordinators, and other support staff.
  • Guest Service: Ensure exceptional guest service, including responding to guest inquiries, resolving guest complaints, and providing personalized service to clients and guests.
  • Financial Performance: Analyze and manage financial reports, including revenue, costs, and profitability, to ensure the venue is operating within budget.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including conducting regular risk assessments and implementing safety protocols.
  • Event Planning: Work with clients and guests to plan and execute events, including weddings, conferences, and other functions.
  • Logistics: Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, including coordinating with internal departments such as catering, housekeeping, and audiovisual.
  • Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with local vendors, suppliers, and event planners to enhance service offerings.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for venue staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in venue management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, guests, and staff.
  • Financial Management: Ability to analyze and manage financial reports, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety standards and protocols.
  • Event Planning: Experience in event planning and execution.
  • Logistics: Ability to coordinate logistics, including setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
  • Partnerships: Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with local vendors, suppliers, and event planners.
  • Training and Development: Ability to provide training and development opportunities for venue staff.

Accommodation: The Venue Operations Manager will be based at the Mondrian Gold Coast hotel, a luxury hotel located in the heart of Burleigh.
