Key Therapeutic Role

A critical position supporting children and young people with complex trauma, abuse, and/or neglect backgrounds. As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will coordinate high-quality assessment, consultative, and referral services to support these individuals.

About the Key Role:

  • Lead comprehensive therapeutic assessments and planning through Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Develop, review, and support implementation of relevant therapeutic plans
  • Provide expertise and guidance on reflective practice
  • Advocate and lead ethical, evidence-informed therapeutic practice

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related discipline
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with professional body relevant to your qualification
  • Experience using evidence-based assessment tools with young people having trauma-informed behavior
  • Ability to develop and promote positive person-centered behavior supports
