
Culturally Informed Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Protection Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the Psychological and Specialist Services team, you will work closely with children, young people, families, and carers to deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and other professional services.
Our ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either full registration as a Psychologist or provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within relevant timeframes. You will have knowledge of therapeutic frameworks for child abuse, neglect, and trauma, and a willingness to travel as required.
As a Child Protection Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and families. You will have the opportunity to work in an evidenced-based trauma service, receive training, supervision, and support from clinical supervisors who are experts in the field, and make a real difference in the lives of those you serve.
This role offers a 12-month temporary opportunity (with the possibility of extension), working on a part-time basis. - Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and other professional services to children, young people, families, and carers.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community partners and other agencies.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and procedures.
