Senior Compliance Professional

This role involves overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive Compliance Strategy in Australia and New Zealand, aligned with the Group Compliance Program.
- Promote and drive a strong Compliance culture across the region.
- Manage regulatory developments to ensure adherence to requirements and associated risks are mitigated.
This position requires accountability under FAR for Compliance, Breach Reporting, AML, and Whistleblowing, including signing an Accountability Statement and maintaining evidence.
About the Role- Develop and deliver tailored Compliance training and awareness programs to ensure knowledge is up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Maintain alignment between Group Compliance Policies and local regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing oversight and maintenance of local Compliance policies and procedures.
- Provide regular Compliance reporting to senior management and external regulatory authorities as needed.
- University degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Compliance, risk management, audit, or related areas for insurance or financial institutions
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and topics in various Compliance subjects, as well as understanding of risk management programs
- Proven experience working effectively with regulators
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills
- Able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent written and spoken English
