
Arts and Cultural Development Professional

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced arts professional to lead our team in delivering high-quality arts and cultural programming for a remote Indigenous community in Western Australia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the art centre's operation, including administration, financial management, funding, marketing, sales, and the delivery of arts and cultural services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage projects, governance, administration, and management of a not-for-profit organisation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry and government partners, stakeholders, and community members.
- Ensure strategic and sustainable growth, as well as maintaining and developing relationships within the cultural, arts, tourism, Indigenous, and economic development sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations people and diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the First Nations arts sector, its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Experience working with remote First Nations communities and managing cross-cultural relationships.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience in similar roles.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with fluent written and verbal communication.
- A willingness to travel and work outside normal hours, with a full driver's license.
- 24-month contract, with a six-month probation period.
- A competitive salary package, plus regional allowance and superannuation.
- Four weeks annual leave, with 17.5% loading.
- Three weeks additional leave per year, with a $690 travel allowance (three times).
- One week remote leave per year, with a $2353 flight allowance.

We are a part of the Irrunytju Community Aboriginal Corporation and the central creative hub of the community, where artists create artworks, share stories, and pass on knowledge.
