Job Title: Arts Operations ManagerOverview

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the art centre's operation, including strategic growth and development, and maintaining relationships within cultural, arts, tourism, Indigenous and economic sectors.

  • Day-to-day management, financial administration, funding, marketing, sales, and ensuring delivery of arts and cultural services;
  • Leadership and management of projects and governance, administration, and management of a not-for-profit organisation;
  • Communication with First Nations people, stakeholders, industry partners;

The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and possess previous experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sustainable growth and development of the art centre;
  • Maintenance and development of relationships within cultural, arts, tourism, Indigenous and economic sectors;
  • Day-to-day administration, financial management, funding, marketing, sales and delivery of arts and cultural services;
  • Leadership and management of projects and governance, administration, and management of a not-for-profit organisation;
Selection Criteria
  1. Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations people, and with a diverse range of stakeholders;
  2. Knowledge of the First Nations arts sector;
  3. Experience working with remote First Nations communities;
  4. Experience in a similar role;
  5. Proven ability to lead and manage projects and lead the governance, administration, and management of a not-for-profit organisation;
  6. Proactive administrative and organisational skills with fluent and effective written and verbal communication;
