Senior Nursing Leadership Position in Palliative Care

Clinical Nurse Consultants play a pivotal role in driving quality improvement and evidence-based care initiatives. As a Senior Nurse in this position, you will be responsible for leading and participating in key projects that promote excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert clinical advice and consultancy to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that care is delivered in line with best practices.
  • Provide education, mentorship, and clinical support to nursing staff.
  • Initiate and participate in clinical research, service planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive practice improvement and lead clinical reviews across acute care services.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum five years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three years in the specialty field of palliative care.
  • Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital.
