About the Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR professional to join our supportive and friendly team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in supporting the research agenda that forms our mission.

Working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner and broader team, you will provide customer-focused HR services to the Institute. This includes exposure to all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment and onboarding, HR administration, payroll tasks, and other initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing support for end-to-end recruitment and selection processes;
  • Coordinating HR inductions for new employees and unpaid appointments;
  • Coordinating administration related to unpaid appointments, including volunteers, students, and researchers;
  • Organising incoming postgraduate and work experience students;
  • Completing operational tasks, including writing employee contracts, entering data into databases, and processing payroll information;
  • Assisting with maintenance of the HR intranet site;
  • Undertaking an HR project with guidance from senior leaders.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field;
  • A customer-centric approach and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills;
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy;
  • A demonstrated ability to participate positively in a team environment.
