About the Role

This position involves leading a team to forecast, plan, manage, and report on the current and future program of works, along with associated budget and costs. You will also support the construction team in delivering projects efficiently, ensuring optimal profitability.

The key accountabilities include:

  • Safety and Environment – promoting a strong safety culture, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Programme and Resource Management – creating project plans, schedules, and budgets, as well as managing subcontractors and resources
  • Finance – reviewing financial contracts, validating expenditures, and developing forecasted costs
  • Quality and Contract Management – analysing results, facilitating improvements, and ensuring contract compliance
  • Leadership – fostering a team culture of ownership and excellence, providing mentorship, and guiding team members

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have experience working with NBN projects and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil or related)
  • Project Management certifications (PMBOK, PMP, Prince 2)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in large-scale project management
  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Cost management and finance principles
  • Knowledge of commercial management
