Telecommunications Project Engineer/Officer

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Engineer/Officer to join our Control Systems Engineering team, where you will contribute to innovative construction and asset management projects across Aurizon's rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Plan and execute the construction, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications works for both new and existing installations, working closely with project managers, internal staff, and contractors.
- Risk Analysis and Management: Assess potential risks related to cost, safety, environment, and quality, incorporating them into project plans and ensuring they are allocated correctly in contracts.
- Resource Management: Organize project resources to meet client needs efficiently, tracking project progress, budgets, and timelines, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure that all work follows Australian Standards and company guidelines.
We are looking for a team player who thrives on collaboration, communicates openly, makes thoughtful decisions, handles complex challenges with ease, and streamlines processes to keep projects running smoothly.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Sound communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Project Planning Expertise: Proficient in project planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Advanced diploma in Engineering or equivalent approved qualifications.
- Experience: Over 5 years of technical experience.
- Deep Understanding: Deep understanding of rail asset management, infrastructure construction, and safety standards.
