Telecommunications Network Coordinator

Aurizon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Project Engineer/Officer to join its Control Systems Engineering team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of rail asset management, infrastructure construction, and safety standards. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering telecommunication works associated with external customer and asset renewal projects across Aurizon's rail network.
Your primary duties will include:
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to create project plans covering scope, services, risk management, cost plans, and schedules.
- Methodology Development: Work with construction teams to design methods for project and asset management, plan resources, estimate costs, and arrange pricing.
- Risk Analysis and Management: Assess potential risks related to cost, safety, environment, and quality, and incorporate these into project plans.
- Project Monitoring: Track project progress, budgets, and timelines, making necessary adjustments and managing changes in project scope, cost, and schedule as needed.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Sound communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in project planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Bachelor's degree or Advanced diploma in Engineering or equivalent approved qualifications.
- Over 5 years of technical experience in rail asset management, infrastructure construction, and safety standards.
