Job Description

As a People Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting our business and teams.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking experienced HR professionals to join our National Support Office in Melbourne. In this role, you will provide expert advice, support, and solutions to our leaders and teams on all people-related matters.

You will be part of an exceptional team who are the first point of contact for all of our leaders and team members across the country.

You will gain valuable exposure to a wide range of HR matters, allowing you to advance your career and HR experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support employee relations grievances and investigations.
  • Resolving complex injury management cases.
  • Providing expert support, advice, and guidance to leaders over the phone.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Negotiating outcomes that mitigate risks for the business and identifying trends.
  • Utilising our HR case management system to track and record cases accurately.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Law, HR, Business, Commerce, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a HR role with a focus on employee relations, ideally in a multi-site organisation.
  • Understanding of and ability to interpret relevant legislation and awards.
  • Solid knowledge of employee relations legislation.
  • Experience before the Fair Work Commission would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven track record of taking initiative and achieving pragmatic outcomes.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions.
