Job Summary
The Michael Page team is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their client, a well-established player in the food manufacturing industry. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Coordinate and manage production operations, adhering to schedules and achieving production targets.
- Staff Management: Supervise, train, and mentor production operators to equip them with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and report any issues to the Quality Assurance team.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, collaborate with OHS to implement safety initiatives, and manage incident reporting and risk mitigation.
- Schedule & Rostering: Coordinate staff rosters, manage breaks, and ensure adequate coverage to maintain continuous production flow.
- Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure production equipment is maintained according to schedule and kept in good working condition to prevent breakdowns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with departments like Logistics, Planning, and HR to ensure smooth operations and resolve production-related issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete required documentation accurately and on time, including compliance records, performance reports, and safety reports.
Requirements
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams for high performance and effective collaboration.
- Operational Expertise: Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Quality & Safety Focus: Strong commitment to maintaining high quality standards and safety compliance, with experience implementing and enforcing safety practices on the production floor.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and report to senior management.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and minimize downtime or disruptions.
- Training & Development: Experience in training, mentoring, and up-skilling staff to meet performance expectations and safety requirements.
- Time Management & Organisational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
- Flexible & Adaptable: Willingness to adapt to changing needs and work under pressure while maintaining a positive and results-driven attitude.
