Visy Glass is a leading manufacturer of glass packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry. Our Spotswood Plant in Australia is currently seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Operator to join our team.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Operator who can work effectively on a rotating shift roster, days, nights, and afternoons. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring production in the Forming, Inspecting, and Packaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles;
  • Operate computer production systems and interfaces;
  • Assist with job changes and associated tasks;
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor maintenance;
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team;
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures;

What You'll Need:

  • A trade background or strong technical aptitude;
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with glass production;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Good eye for detail and ability to work in a hot, dusty, and loud environment;
