Diesel Fitter Opportunity

We are seeking skilled Diesel Fitters to join our team in Cairns.

As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and servicing key CAT machinery and components.

  • Work with new state-of-the-art machinery and learn from skilled technicians.
  • Repair, maintain and service key CAT machinery and components.
  • Equipment Assembly of Caterpillar equipment.
  • Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS).
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment.
  • Work as part of a skilled and driven team.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Fitter to join our team in Cairns.

You will have the chance to work with new technology and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications.
  • Knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds.
  • Demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery.
  • Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar experience in motor mechanics and agriculture/sugar farming.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety.
  • A customer driven focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control.
