About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Trainee in Palliative Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about providing high-quality care to patients with advanced illnesses.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality healthcare to patients under supervision, while developing a broad knowledge of the principles and practice of palliative medicine.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing quality healthcare to patients with advanced illnesses
  • Developing a broad knowledge of the principles and practice of palliative medicine
  • Working collaboratively with experienced clinicians and healthcare professionals

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Have previous experience working in palliative care or a strong interest in gaining skills and knowledge in this area
  • Have completed at least four years' residency since graduation
  • Hold a current driver's license
  • Have proven satisfactory clinical performance, supported by submissions of two current referees
  • Have demonstrated sound, effective communication skills with patients, medical and surgical colleagues, and other staff
  • Have demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
  • Have a professional attitude and flexibility in work role, with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours and on-call rosters and required rotations between services and geographical locations to deliver patient care
