Advanced Trainee - Palliative Care Specialist

The Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking a motivated and compassionate Advanced Trainee to join their Palliative Care Department. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • To participate in the daily running of palliative care services, including reviewing patients referred to consult services and developing palliative care plans in collaboration with the Australian Medical Officer (AMO).">
  • To provide support and medical direction to other members of the multidisciplinary palliative care team, including junior medical officers rotating to palliative care.">
  • To contribute to the development of the service through participation in quality improvement initiatives and provision of feedback to the team.">

Requirements:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent qualification, be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia, and have completed at least four years of residency since graduation.

In addition, applicants must demonstrate sound communication skills, a commitment to personal and professional development, and a flexible attitude to work roles, including after-hours overtime and on-call rosters.

Working knowledge of the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination against Specific Infectious Diseases Policy is also required.
