
Support Services Coordinator

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be part of a dedicated team serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Your role will involve providing non-clinical counselling and social work services to support clients in achieving their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct culturally appropriate assessments to identify physical, psychological, and social aspects of clients' social and emotional issues.
- Provide one-on-one sessions to explore personal challenges, set recovery goals, and develop coping strategies tailored to individual client needs.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions promoting peer support, shared experiences, and collaborative learning among clients.
- Create individualised treatment plans incorporating clients' goals, preferences, and specific needs.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience within a mental health context.
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and healthcare needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, engaging with diverse communities.
- Current working with children check – blue card.
- Current open driver's licence.
- Relevant tertiary qualification such as social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field.
