Young People's Advocate Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact in the lives of young people.

The Young People's Advocate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating youth friendly activities, operating from a dedicated 'Youth Hub'.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver programs that meet the diverse needs of young people aged 12-25.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community groups, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve organisational goals.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in youth work involving case planning/management and casework.
  • Proven ability to engage and work effectively with young Aboriginal people.
  • Experience in and knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, harm minimisation strategies and program development.
  • Current driver's licence.
