About This Role

This position focuses on creating an integrated system that responds to the child and their family through key transition points from pre-birth to young adulthood, prioritizing First Nations knowledge systems and practice.

We are looking for a dynamic leader who can contribute to developing and implementing after-hours activities and services for youth in Central Australia and across the Top End.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs that support wellbeing and engagement of youth through diverse activities
  • Act as a role model and mentor for junior Youth Workers
  • Maintain relationships with local First Nation Elders to discuss aspirations of youth and the community
  • Promote local culture and engage with stakeholders
  • Ensure policy, procedures, quality and risk management are adhered to
About The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth and community engagement. A background in Social Work or Community Program Coordination is preferred, along with project and team leadership skills.

You must be able to work well under pressure, coordinate with stakeholders and staff, and demonstrate cultural competence.
