The Work For The Dole Coordinator role is a rewarding opportunity to build strong partnerships with the community and local businesses, while working collaboratively with the employment services team to create suitable and compliant work for the dole opportunities for participants.

As a key member of the team, you will be out in the community, working with external providers, community sector and volunteer organisations to ensure activities are tailored for individual profiles. You will be professional, able to establish quick rapport with people from all walks of life and work within procedural guidelines using a database to log details and notes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the creation of work for the dole places available to job seekers in all regions to increase their skills and employability through meaningful and safe activities.
  • Establishing partnerships with local businesses and community organisations to create opportunities for clients.
  • Working closely with the employment services team to deliver exceptional customer service and meet key performance indicators around creating appropriate work experience placements and activities that meet clients' needs and expectations.
  • Traveling throughout SE QLD region to conduct business development activities and support clients.

Requirements for success in this role include:

  • Previous experience in a similar position in work for the dole / jobactive or workforce Australia.
  • Results-focused approach with ability to work to key performance indicators and targets.
  • Excellent networking skills and willingness to conduct business development activities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational ability.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated qualities of resilience, empathy, integrity and compassion.
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel in the SE QLD region.
