Lead Group Business Services Manager

A leading business advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accountant to serve as Manager for its growing Business Services Division in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and develop a unique blend of taxation, management accounting, and professional services skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, or payroll tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Expert utilization of accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Providing tax planning and business advisory services to clients, including analyzing financial and non-financial information to assist clients in monitoring performance.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and seeking to further these relationships through quality product delivery.
  • Recognizing potential additional work opportunities among current clients and actively promoting the firm and its services to both clients and associates.
  • Managing team training and mentoring, with responsibilities to help grow the team's knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole.
  • Managing multi-jurisdiction teams and coordinating with other experts engaged in the project.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience within Business Services, with strong technical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar and completed CA/CPA qualifications.
  • A solid understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Expertise using accounting software, including APS, MYOB, and cloud-based tools, e.g., Xero, QuickBooks.
  • Have work rights, Australian Citizenship, or hold Permanent Residency status in Australia.
