Lead Teacher Role Overview

This is a senior position in our schoolwide team, responsible for leading curriculum and professional learning across all campuses.

  • Curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting for Years 7–10.
  • Implementation of the Schoolwide Curriculum Framework.
  • Literacy and numeracy data collection and analysis.
  • Key academic programs including NAPLAN, MacqLit, and Maths Mastery.
  • Instructional coaching, professional development, and staff mentoring.
  • Delivery of the Annual Implementation Plan and Strategic Plan priorities.
  • Diversity and wellbeing initiatives, including LGBTQIA+ and RAP working groups.

The role involves regular travel between four campuses. It reports to the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage the development of curriculum and professional learning strategies that support student achievement.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to implement school-wide policies and procedures.
  • To provide instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve teaching practice.
  • To contribute to the development of school-wide goals and objectives.
  • To engage in ongoing professional learning to improve teaching practice.
