Academic Leader in Nursing Education

We are seeking an experienced academic leader to join our team as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about nursing education and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the development of our students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the teaching and learning of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs, developing curriculum and assessments, and supervising research projects. They will also be expected to contribute to the school's research reputation by publishing papers in reputable journals and presenting at conferences.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a PhD in a relevant field, experience in teaching and research, and a strong track record of publication and conference presentations. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively with colleagues and students, and to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the teaching and learning of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs
  • Develop curriculum and assessments, including online and blended learning
  • Supervise research projects, including honours and postgraduate students
  • Contribute to the school's research reputation through publication and conference presentations

Skills and Qualifications: A PhD or equivalent accreditation, demonstrated effectiveness in curriculum development and teaching, capacity to provide leadership, proven ability to mentor and supervise students, strong record of research publication, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Desirable: Recent clinical experience in the adult setting and Graduate Certificate in Higher Education or evidence of equivalent professional preparation for Higher Education teaching.
