Job Description

The Snowy Monaro Regional Council is seeking a Pool Attendant to facilitate the safe enjoyment of our swimming pools.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking routine operations and maintenance of aquatic facilities, monitoring water quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role involves facilitating pool operations effectively and efficiently for safe customer enjoyment. Responsibilities include undertaking routine operations and maintenance of Aquatic facilities, pool equipment, and safety.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Monitoring and documenting water quality and temperature, correcting or escalating to supervisor as required.
  • Preparing and setting up the facility as required, including cleaning of pools, amenities, and surrounding grounds/facilities.
  • Being available for relief work at all Council operated pools as required.
  • Processing entries, memberships, and light kiosk sales. Reconciling daily cash sales.
  • Contributing to the performance of Council: demonstrating professional conduct, making the best use of knowledge, experience, and skills, and being accountable for own decisions and actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Lifeguard Certification including Senior First Aid Certificate and Provide CPR certificate.
  • Good public relations and customer service skills.
  • Experience in public pool supervision, management, operation, and water testing.
  • Understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety practices and principles.
  • Available to work various rosters including weekends.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Current Working with Children Check and NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
