About the Role

The reliability engineer plays a vital part in reducing asset downtime by developing and optimizing maintenance strategies for electrical, mechanical, and civil assets within our renewables portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Strategy Development: Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and asset services SMEs to drive production, reliability, safety, and environmental improvements.
  • Optimized Maintenance: Support our renewables engineering and maintenance teams in developing, prioritizing, and implementing optimized maintenance strategies for our renewables portfolio.
  • Maintenance Routine Creation: Ensure that optimized maintenance strategies are loaded into our CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and converted into effective routines.
  • Task Updates: Update existing planned maintenance tasks in our CMMS (SAP) and document management system.
  • Maintenance Support: Support our renewables maintenance teams in developing, deploying, and continuously improving maintenance support information.
  • Documentation Management: Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure that maintenance documentation is effectively managed.
  • KPI Tracking: Develop tools and systems to improve the tracking of suitable KPIs for use with visual management boards.
  • OEE Monitoring: Monitor overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of renewable assets, including equipment performance measurement against performance curves provided by OEMs.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's qualification in engineering - electrical/mechanical preferred.
  • Reliability Engineering Experience: Experience utilizing reliability engineering techniques and asset management principles highly desirable.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated previous experience in leading reliability improvement initiatives and developing maintenance documentation in power stations or similar heavy industries.
  • SAP Knowledge: Understanding of SAP as a CMMS highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Software: Familiarity with platforms such as Power BI, OSI PI, reliability, RCA, and condition monitoring software desirable.
  • Team Collaboration: Able to work effectively across renewable sites and provide technical support to other business units as required.
