Overview
This role is responsible for delivering high-impact asset reliability initiatives to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies aligned with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Provide technical expertise to drive ongoing reliability improvements, ensuring fit-for-purpose asset integrity while maintaining safety, business continuity, and compliance.
- Regularly assess the health and condition of critical assets by analyzing data from monitoring systems to identify potential issues or failures.
- Conduct failure mode analysis to understand how assets might fail and develop strategies to prevent recurrences.
- Investigate equipment failures using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques like the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to determine underlying causes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive asset reliability goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead or contribute to reliability improvement projects, managing resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to asset reliability and maintenance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in electrical engineering, asset reliability, and maintenance management. Key qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in heavy industry or process equipment maintenance.
- Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in CMMS software and asset management principles.
