Abortion and Contraception Service Leader

The Royal Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate leader to head its Abortion and Contraception team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, evidence-based social work services to patients seeking abortion and contraception.
- Lead a team of social workers in delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and referrals.
- Supervise and mentor social workers and students to promote professional development.
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide clinical services to women and pregnant people attending the hospital for abortion services.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and post-abortion counseling.
- Experience working with victims/survivors of family violence and reproductive coercion.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
